BY PLANE (Pula Airport)
Pula Airport (Zračna luka Pula) is located just 8 km from the city center. It operates year-round but is especially busy during the summer season when direct flights arrive from many European cities.
How to get from the airport to the city and the hotel:
Airport Shuttle Bus - the most convenient and budget-friendly option.
Travel time: 10-12 minutes to the Pula bus station.
The schedule adapts to the arrival times of major flights. It's best to check the current schedule on the airport's website.
Taxi and Transfers - an ideal choice if you're traveling with children, have large luggage, or simply value comfort.
Taxi stands are located directly at the airport exit.
We recommend using licensed taxi services.
Popular ride-hailing apps are also available in Pula.
Alternative Airports:
Rijeka Airport (on Krk Island) - approximately 78 km away.
Trieste Airport (Italy) - about 126 km away.
Venice Airport (Italy) - approximately 200+ km away.
Ljubljana Airport (Slovenia) - about 170 km away.
BY BUS
The main bus station in Pula (Autobusni kolodvor Pula) is located at Trg I istarske brigade 1, a 10–15 minute walk from the historic center. It is a major transport hub.
Domestic routes: Buses run regularly from Zagreb, Rijeka, Split, and other Croatian cities.
International routes: You can reach Pula from Slovenia (Ljubljana, Maribor), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo), Serbia (Belgrade), as well as from Germany, Austria, and other countries. Main carriers include: Arriva, FlixBus, Brioni, Nomago, and FILS.
BY FERRY
Pula has regular ferry connections, which are especially active during the summer season.
Domestic lines: Ferries connect Pula with other coastal cities in Croatia.
International lines (Italy):
Venice - Pula: Services run from June to September, approximately 6 times a week. Travel time is 3.5 - 4 hours. The services are operated by Adriatic Lines. We recommend checking the current schedule on the carrier's website.
BY TRAIN
Pula Railway Station (Željeznički kolodvor Pula) is located near the waterfront.
The railway network in Istria is not well developed. During the season, trains run from Zagreb via Ljubljana to Pula.
There is no direct train connection to Zagreb or other major Croatian cities - a transfer to a bus is required.
This option is best suited for travelers who enjoy a more relaxed pace of travel.
BY CAR
Pula is well connected by highways to the rest of Europe.
From Slovenia: Highway leads directly to Pula.
From Italy: Via the Plovanija border crossing.
From the rest of Croatia: Via the highway through Rijeka.
