Ribarska Koliba Resort is a family business with a rich history that stretches back over a century. Our entire team is passionate about hospitality and gastronomy, which is reflected in the high standards of the service we provide. For the past 100 years, Ribarska Koliba Resort has been an important feature of Istrian social and cultural life. It was an elite dining destination for Austrian military officers during the First World War. Famous world leaders, such as the Yugoslavian President Josip Broz Tito and the Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, have been hosted here. We relish being able to share all this trivia with our valued guests.

The founder of Ribarska Koliba Resort is an entrepreneur who fell in love with the idyllic Croatian landscapes. He decided to make his second home among the beautiful rolling pine forests and crystal - clear Adriatic waters of Istria.

His ambition was to make Ribarska Koliba Resort the premier holiday resort in Pula. To achieve this, he decided to create a hospitality business that would operate all year round. In doing so, he was also able to give back to the local community through the creation of numerous stable jobs.

In addition to this, he developed many Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These CSR efforts remain a vital part of Ribarska Koliba Resort’s work. We have a strong commitment to support disabled people and members of disadvantaged communities. In the past, we have raised money for causes such as breast cancer research and provided support for blind people. We have also backed children’s charities and supported local poverty relief.

Our food is mainly sourced from local producers including Istrian farmers and fishermen. This guarantees that our meals are always fresh and of the highest quality.
